EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

We have all been moved by the loss of life and scenes of destruction resulting from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, including the historic center of our patriarchate–the great and ancient city of Antioch. We are responding as an archdiocese with prayers and an appeal for urgently needed relief funds. Please see the following letter from his Eminence Metropolitan ANTONIOS. It directs our Antiochian Orthodox parishes to take weekly collections for this relief work each Sunday through the end of the month. Additionally, His Eminence is calling us to prayer by gathering this Friday evening, February 10th for a special Paraklesis to the Theotokos with special mention of all those suffering as a result of the earthquake. Thank you for praying and for your generous donations that will help in ministering to our brothers and sisters overseas. [LETTER]
