Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos

We will be celebrating the Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos with Bishop ANTHONY @ St. George

Friday, September 7 – Festal Vespers at 6 PM

Saturday, September 8 – Divine Liturgy at 10 AM & Great Vespers at 5 PM

Why do we celebrate this feast? Let the words of the Apolytikion assist in the answer:

Your birth, O Theotokos, brought joy to the whole world,

for from you dawned the sun of righteousness, Christ our God.

Freeing us from the curse, He gave us His blessings.

Abolishing death, He granted us eternal life.
