CONVENTION MEETINGS

Sunday, July 14 – All-Parish Meeting following Liturgy; lunch hosted by convention committee

HELP NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Volunteers are needed prior to and during the week of the Convention.  Below are a few of the areas that your support is needed. For a complete list and to volunteer, please visit [VOLUNTEER].

Security – door attendants at specific events. Making sure everyone who enters an event has the proper credentials on their badge to attend. Chair: Greg Storey

Baking Bread – we provide Holy Bread for five Divine Liturgies. Volunteers are needed in June and July to assist in making the Holy Bread. Chair: Christine Elias

Ushers – men and women are needed to greet and assist during the daily Divine Liturgies or Matins Services and Vespers. Chair: Brian LaFranboise

Kids’ Club – this is a program providing Christian programming during the mornings of the convention. Fun activities are scheduled in the afternoon. And dinners are served on two evenings.  This allows parents to attend meetings, workshops and several evening events. In particular, volunteers are needed Saturday evening to have dinner and entertainment for children while parents attend the Light the Night Gala, the closing social event of the convention. Transportation – individuals are needed to pick up and return Hierarchs and selected individuals to the airport, and to St. Nicholas church on Sunday and Monday. You will provide the vehicle for transporting guests. Chair: Steve Medich

Event at St. Nicholas – on Sunday, July 21, St. Nicholas will be hosting a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy for all area Antiochian churches.  Metropolitan JOSEPH and Hierarchs will celebrate the Liturgy. A coffee hour/brunch will be served and volunteers are needed to prepare, serve and clean-up. Chair: Marwan Karadsheh

Event at St. Nicholas – on Monday, July 22, St. Nicholas will host Vespers, followed by a dinner (similar to our Fall Middle Eastern Dinner) for the clergy and their families and the Archdiocese Board of Trustees. Volunteers are needed to prepare, serve and clean-up. Chair: David Steinmetz

For the next several weeks or until are volunteers are committed, there will be tables set up during Coffee Hour so you can sign-up to volunteer. You will also have an opportunity to speak to the chair or a Convention Team Member to ask questions.
