Camelot Block Party.

The annual Block Party for our neighbors across the street living in the Camelot Community is Saturday, July 27th 10:15AM-1:30PM.  St. Nicholas and several local churches will sponsor a cookout and various activities for the Camelot community at Camelot Park (2230 Rowland Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). 

 At the end of the event 200 school backpacks with back-to-school supplies purchased by St. Nicholas and the other churches will be distributed to the children.

We need parishioners to assist throughout the event.  This year will start with a brief training event at 10:15AM at Church of the Servant  (3835 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546) based on the YES program principles designed to help us see the “face of Christ” in those in need.  This will be followed immediately by food prep/setup.  We also need parishioners to set up/tear down, grill, manage the soccer tournament, and assist with children’s activities throughout the party.  Please sign up at Camelot Block Party or contact Greg Storey.
