Parish Council
The St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Parish Council, working in concert with our Parish Priest, is the administrative arm of the church. Made up of nine elected members who serve three year terms, the Council is responsible for the temporal and physical maintenance of the church. It approves budgets, pays bills, hires staff, coordinates functions of all church organizations, and conducts short and long-term planning. It holds church ethnic dinners open to the public, plans spiritual educational programs, sponsors the missions of the Diocese and Archdiocese, and puts on fundraising events for International Orthodox Christian Charities. The Parish Council hosts regional church conferences and archdiocese-wide conventions. The Parish Council is sworn to uphold the tenets and practices of Orthodoxy in all of its dealings. It is accountable to the congregation, the parish priest, the bishop and archdiocese, and above all, to God.
